Unlike traditional internal combustion engines that rely solely on petrol or diesel fuel, the TSA-40 (Thunderstrike 40 Horsepower engine) utilizes a novel combustion system that can seamlessly switch between biofuels, hydrogen, and traditional fuels, all while achieving efficiencies previously unattainable in an IC engine.
The Thunderstrike engine weighs about 16 kg and produces approximately 40 horsepower. There is an advanced regenerative thermal management system employed into our design allowing for improvements in efficiency while also reducing waste heat as is the case in traditional engine designs.
Thunderstrike engines also feature novel, nanotechnology coatings developed in our labs. These coatings create a catalytic effect that further enhances the engine’s performance and fuel management.
Another key feature of the Thunderstrike engine is it’s green profile. Despite the fact that it may utilize traditional petrol-based fuels, overall carbon emissions can be significantly lower than traditional IC engines. This results in an aircraft powerplant that is both efficient and clean for the environment.
Additionally, the Thunderstrike engine is designed for durability. Our team of engineers have worked for the past three years developing an engine that is not only efficient but also rugged enough to withstand the demands of long-endurance flight. Consequently, many of the common issues associated with conventional internal combustion engines do not exist in the Thunderstrike engine.
