David Schmidt is the founder and CEO of Thunderstrike Aviation. With a background in engineering and over two decades of leadership in emerging technologies, he launched the company in 2021 to develop sustainable, long-endurance unmanned systems. He oversees strategic direction and product innovation, focusing on scalable drone platforms for defense, environmental, and humanitarian applications.

Colman Dillon oversees operations for Thunderstrike Aviation in Europe, managing facility development, supply chain coordination, and compliance across the region. He brings decades of experience leading global manufacturing and quality systems in highly regulated industries. His background in scaling complex operations supports Thunderstrike’s work in building reliable, mission-ready drone platforms from its Odense, Denmark hub.

Morten Hvalsøe-Dybdahl manages key account relationships for Thunderstrike Aviation in Europe. He works closely with defense, aerospace, and government stakeholders to align mission requirements with product capabilities. He has a background in military leadership and interagency coordination.

Joel Langston leads engineering for Thunderstrike Aviation’s European operations. He specializes in systems integration, propulsion, and flight testing. Prior to joining Thunderstrike, he held engineering roles at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and contributed to the MQ-9B SkyGuardian program. He holds a master’s in aerospace engineering from Georgia Tech and is a certified PMP.

Lieutenant General Richard Newton (Ret.) serves as a strategic advisor to Thunderstrike Aviation, contributing expertise in operations, leadership, and defense policy. A former B-2 Stealth Bomber pilot and squadron commander, he held multiple senior roles during his 34- year career in the U.S. Air Force, including Assistant Vice Chief of Staff at the Pentagon. He advises on defense integration and air domain strategy across Thunderstrike’s global programs.
