The Opportunity

Build the HR function from the ground up in a drone-tech scale-up where operational urgency meets regulatory discipline.

From day one, you will own execution — recruitment, onboarding, contracts, compliance, and daily HR-operations — while establishing the scalable structures required to grow from 15 to 150+ employees. You report directly to the VP Operations and work closely with leadership on workforce planning and organizational structure. You will manage one HR Administrator from day one and be a part of the management team. You will establish practical, audit-ready HR foundations suited for a regulated defense environment — covering Danish labor law, export controls, and security requirements — without slowing the entrepreneurial pace of the company.There is no mature HR infrastructure waiting for you. You will build it inside a company scaling rapidly in one of Europe’s most regulation-intensive industries.You will begin with a strong operational focus (approx. 70%) and transition toward strategic leadership as the organization scales.

The Mandate

Build and run HR in a regulated defense scale-up — hands-on from day one.

Reporting to the VP Operations, you will:

  • Own HR-operations, recruitment, onboarding, and compliance
  • Build scalable HR structures to support growth from 15 to 150+ employees
  • Establish audit-ready governance aligned with defense and security requirements
  • Support and develop leadership across the organization
  • Build and lead the HR function as the company scales

Core Responsibilities

Execute & Build

  • Lead hands-on recruitment of engineers, technicians, and technical specialists
  • Run day-to-day HR-operations and provide manager support
  • Implement contracts, documentation, and compliant workflows
  • Make HR processes structured, repeatable, and scalable

Scale & Structure

  • Design the HR operating model for a growing production organization
  • Partner with the executive team to shape organizational structure, workforce plans, and long-term people strategy
  • Implement competency frameworks and structured onboarding

Compliance & Security

  • Ensure compliance with Danish labor law and defense-sector requirements
  • Own people-related audit readiness

This is a scale-up operating in a dynamic and rapidly growing industry. It´s therefore essential that you can quickly adjust priorities and operate decisively in a constantly evolving environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7–12+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience in engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries
  • Proven experience building HR foundations in scaling companies
  • Strong knowledge of Danish employment law
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting technical talent
  • Operationally strong — strategically capable
  • Eligible for Danish/NATO-security clearance
